I'm just kind of learning about diet and eating. I was wondering if
there are any Vegans that have diabetes? Do you not eat fruit?

If you have diabetes, I urge you to get advice from a nutritionist rather than
vegans in a newsgroup. You should already know about glycemic index and load,
and that you need to consume proteins along with fruits and other sweet foods to
buffer spikes in glucose.

While many vegans mean well, their advice to those with underlying conditions is
often deleterious. A google search of this group will show you of
recommendations for "vegan cheesecake" to those with severely debilitating
diabetic-related conditions.
