Default Eating the leaves after the drink

Hi,

I have a question about green tea. I put some tea leaves in my mug
every morning and have 4-5 cups throughout the day. Is it okay to eat
those leaves at the end of the day, or should I just throw them out?
I notice that if I leave them in overnight, they either dry up or turn
brown. The next day, I just throw them out.

But I was just wondering is there any benefits (or negative effects)
to just ingesting the leaves at the end of the day?

Thanks,
Brian
