Default I'm still eating sushi at Blue Pearl.

It's ia AYCE Chinese restaurant in Silver Springs, MD. with a sushi
seclection. Very limited but always trays full choices of tuna,
salmon, eel, egg, and toufo. However I ask for salmon sashimi and get
about a dozen pieces or about probably 3 ounzes of salmon. It was
worth something in the tip jar. I've never been on a weekday lunch
but dinner and weedends comes to 12.15 plus tips these days.

Haven't been to my other favorite AYCE places because I got to keep my
eye on my gout.

A bit pricy for me. After what the market did in the last 3 weeks,
I'm lucky to still be able to afford the cheap sushi at the AYCE.

this is all we got in town.... i go for it when i can.

but i am a bit miffed about how once we were loaded up with sake every
other block, now it's a dry town?

i even posted a request at the local grocer.... they make
"claim" they will look into it.

(yeh, riiight)

our city has hiked things up so high even the "so called" rich can't
take it much longer... but the city will sure let homeless folks lie
around causing trouble.

By the way, the town is Silver Spring (without a final "s") but I know
of two other quite decent AYCE places in the DC suburbs. Hinode in
Rockville which has a general Japanese food selection including good
Tempura as well as the sushi (rather small pieces) and Matuba in
Bethesda has a Kaiten bar with sushi and other things like dumplings and
Teryaki. In either, the buffet and one beer will be under $20 for
weekday lunch.

A number of Chinese AYCE buffets have competently run and popular sushi
bars but I am not enthusiastic about the quality of the fish. However,
the *Chinese* food including Dim Sun, is quite good at the Good Fortune
in Rockville.
