Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get some bannetons
(brotforms) at a reasonable price? I've been looking all over for them, tried Cost Plus but they don't carry them anymore. Williams-Sonama has them, but they're really pricey. Suggestions? Phil Reed prex at afes dot com |

The baskets cost about $16 and the liners $7 or $8. There are two sizes... I got the smaller ones. My two baskets will (together) handle a 1600 to 1800 gram dough and the inverted doughs fit nicely (both) in my oven. They also carry linen by the yard. Thanks for the suggestion, but I wanted to get the brotforms for the
cool shape they imprint on the loaf. I've proofed in other things, with good results, but what that circular "cane" brotform look on the finished loaf.
