Default ISO home-delivered beer

I can order home-delivered pizza on-line at papajohns.com. Where can I
order home-delivered beer? (in the Seattle area.) I tried safeway.com
but they take 3 or 4 days to deliver. I want my pizza & beer on the
same night.

I would plan ahead so that the beer can be really cold when the pizza
arrives four days later.

Better yet...have you considered meals on wheels? They might help
you solve the dilemma.

I can go out & get it myself within 4 days. It's just that last night,
I was mentally & emotionally beat after a college final & just didn't
feel like going anywhere. So I order a pizza to be delivered that
night & looked for a site from which I could order beer the same way.
I don't plan to order out days in advance. It's for unexpected moments
like these.

Considering Washington's hardline towards selling hard liquor (we have
state-run stores for everything but beer and wine), it would shock me if
beer delivery were legal.

Agreed. The only state where I've encountered beer and wine being
delivered by restaurants was Florida. Quite convenient when
you're stuck in a hotel room in Ft. Lauderdale or some such.

OTOH, in California, at least in the distant past liquor stores could
deliver all manner of alcoholic beverages to you. They may have
gotten rid of that; a quick check of the Oakland yellow pages does not
reveal any liquor stores offering such a service.

In Western NY you can get beer delivered with a pizza. Anyone in the
Buffalo area, check out Yings Wings and Things. They deliver 'til 4 a.m.

Hey Pork,

I know that I'm late on this thread but I thought I'd add something anyways.
I live in California and have my groceries delivered to the house and that
includes alcohol. Unfortunately it takes one day for the order to get to
the house. I'm not sure if they have grocery delivery in your area but I
looked on the internet and I didn't see anything when I used Yahoo local.
Anyway, my grocery store (Albertson's) will do all my grocery shopping and
deliver it to my house and place it on the kitchen counter for only $10.00.
It's such a bargain.

I was just saying that about Safeway in my area. But within the time
it takes to deliver I can go get it myself. It's just that some nights
I'm too worn out to go anywhere & would like some things right at that
time. A pizza & Chinese food can be delivered to you in just a few
minutes. Why not beer?

Strangely enough, my favorite pizza place here in Idaho will deliver
beer and/or wine along with their pizza. www.flyingpie.com
You wouldn't expect this in Idaho, where the only place you can
buy hard liquor is in the state-run liquor stores, which aren't
even open on Sundays.

This thread has some pictures of a few fridges from the holidays
a year or so ago. The first is mine.
