Chicago has no shortage of high-end joints and top-class steak houses,
but "best" is subjective. The place that's most likely to answer your
question is Charlie Trotter's. Other high-end, high-quality budget-
busters include the likes of mk, Tru, and Everest, or for that big
slab o' cow, Gibson's, and there are plenty of other joints happy
to separate you from the large wads of cash in your wallet (or bank
account).
