Applesauce Cake



2 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. cloves

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

3 tablespoons cocoa

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup raisins

1-1/2 cups applesauce (or can substitute stewed prunes,

with a little lemon juice)

1/2 cup melted butter



Mix all together. Pour into a well-greased 5 x 9" loaf pan and bake 1

hour at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
