Applesauce cake
I am making this now with a few variations:
http://www.grouprecipes.com/56798/wh...auce-cake.html I used brown sugar Splenda instead of brown sugar. I can't use cloves so used a bit of ginger instead. Added the caviar from a vanilla bean. And a pinch of salt. And I used real oil instead of spray. Also made a glaze using a small amount of applesauce and powdered sugar, pinch of salt, the caviar from a vanilla bean and a goodly amount of cinnamon. So it's not a no sugar recipe, but it is lower in carbs and would be lower still if no glaze was used. If I had my 'druthers, I would add walnuts to this but we have an anti-nut person in the house. Sure smells good baking! |
