Jumbo Candy & Nut Cookies


This is from Land O Lakes

1 c sugar
1 c firmly packed brown sugar
1 c margarine/butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
2 c all purpose flour
1 1/4 quick cooking oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 (16oz) bag of candy coated chocolate candy (ex: MM's)
1 c coarsely chopped peanuts (I use hazel)

Heat oven to 350*. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar (brown too),
margarine, eggs, and vanilla. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl
often and
until creamy. Reduce the speed to low, and add rest of ingredients
EXCEPT
candy and nuts. Once again, mix well until creamy. By hand, mix in the
candy and nuts. Drop dough by the 1/4 cupfuls--2 inches apart onto
greased
cookie sheets. Bake for 13-16 mins or until golden brown. Makes about
2 doz
cookies.
