Gooey Chocolate Squares

Makes 8x8-inch pan

1/2 cup butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups brown sugar, packed
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Remove from heat and add sugar.
Stir well. Add flour. Stir. Add eggs, one at a time and beat. Add vanilla
and beat until smooth. Bake in greased 8x8-inch pan in 350 F oven for 30
minutes. Add half a cup of chopped walnuts if desired. Cool and cut in
squares.
