Atkinized BBQ Sauce
By: Mike Willsey Variation of Walter Jetton's barbecue sauce. Contadina Tomato Paste 2-6oz. Cans, plus water (total fluid is 3 cups), place paste in large measuring cup and bring fluid total to 3 cups. In a blender: (to chop up vegetables) Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup Water, 1/2 cup Yellow Onion, 1/2 cup Green Pepper, 1/2 cup After blending, add blender contents to tomato paste/water, plus, 2 tablespoons Tabasco sauce 2 tablespoons vinegar, white 2 tablespoons garlic powder 1 cup of Franks or Texas Petes hot sauce Bring to a boil, then simmer, covered for 30 minutes, stirring often, then add and stir in well, 1/2 cup Splenda 1/2 cup Sugar Twin Brown Sugar -- Regards, Mike (Piedmont) http://groups.msn.com/ThePracticalBa...ewwelcome.msnw -- Rec.food.recipes is moderated by Patricia Hill at .
