good morning-

long time eater, first time poster.

when my wife passed away she left me with 800 blank checks with
pictures of polar bears, 36 running feet of closets with hanging
clothes, two beautiful adult daughters who are both professional chefs,
memories to sustain me, and, a big bag of solidly fozen soft crabs from
the chesapeake bay.

being from solid scots-irish stock in appalachia, the allure of soft
crabs has escaped me for almost 60 years. however, being fom solid
scots-irish stock in appalachia, the concept of throwing them away is
inconceivable. the kids don't want them because their husbands are just
like me. so, i have been left to my own devices to come up with some
dish that incorporates soft crabs without being too "soft crabby". i
have been given one week to complete this assigned task. otherwise the
kids are going to give them to the guy next door who keeps standing by
his grill and grinning. he was born and raised in this community on the
shore of the bay, and i think he used to eat soft crabs raw as a snack.

by the way, i am allowed to "saute'" providing i use olive oil, but
frying anything is forbidden. i guess my doctor is afraid an ember from
my cigarette would ignite the hot grease and i would then drop my
martini into the fire.

thanks in advanced

Hello,

I wonder if anyone has a recipe for vegetarian burgers or loaves which are
suitable for freezing. I am particularly interested in recipes using
beans
or other legumes and grains.

Thank you, Judith Williamson

So how long does one need to boil eggs for to make them
hard-boiled, and yet not overdue it, thereby wasting gas/electricity?

I am interested in creating a fruit bouquet for an upcoming party, and
was hoping to find instructions online, but my search has been
"fruitless". The process seems fairly straight forward, but I would
love some pointers. Does any one have instructions they would like to
share?

Thanks!
