Savory Ranch Chex Mix

You'll really enjoy this tasty snack that's highlighted with the
popular flavor of ranch dressing.

Prep Time:10 min
Start to Finish:25 min
Makes:26 servings (1/2 cup each)

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
9 cups Corn Chex , Rice Chex or Wheat Chex cereal (or combination)
2 cups bite-size pretzel twists
2 cups bite-size cheese crackers
1 package (1 oz) ranch dressing and seasoning mix
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High
about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereal, pretzels and crackers
until evenly coated. Stir in dressing mix and cheese until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring each minute. Spread
on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight
container.

Oven Directions: Heat oven to 250 F. In ungreased 13x9-inch pan, melt
butter in oven. Stir in cereal, pretzels and crackers until evenly coated.
Stir in dressing mix and cheese until evenly coated. Bake 10 minutes,
stirring after 5 minutes. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool, about 15
minutes. Store in airtight container.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): No change.

Hot and Spicy Chex Party Mix

Guests will love this kicked-up version of our original Chex party
mix.

Prep Time:10 min
Start to Finish:1 hr 25 min
Makes:24 servings (1/2 cup each)

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tablespoon Lea & PerrinsT Worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 to 3 teaspoons red pepper sauce
3 cups Corn Chex cereal
3 cups Rice Chex cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup pretzels
1 cup bite-size cheese crackers

Heat oven to 250 F. In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper sauce. Gradually
stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated. Bake uncovered 1 hour,
stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15
minutes. Store in airtight container. Microwave Directions: In large
microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or
until melted. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper
sauce. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2
minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in
airtight container.

Chex Barbecue Snack Mix

Honey-roasted peanuts add a touch of sweetness to this flavorful savory
snack that's perfect for any gathering.

Prep Time:10 min
Start to Finish:30 min
Makes:15 servings (1/2 cup each)

3 cups Rice Chex cereal
3 cups Corn Chex cereal
1 1/2 cups bite-size pretzel twists
1 1/2 cups bite-size cheese crackers
3/4 cup honey-roasted peanuts
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder

In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, pretzels, crackers and peanuts.
In medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour over
cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High
7 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on foil or paper towels to
cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.
