Default Activated Carbon Usage in Distillates

Hey Group.

Im studying "fruit- and wine-technology", and have to do a project
about the effect/usage of activated carbon in distillates.

is anybody havin experiences with that (optimizing flavour with it)?
or could anybody forward me to interesting articles/books/magazines
about it?
