I think she is referring to Southern California.

We just had a cook-in in Ocala, Fl, but heck, we'll go to Southern Georgia!
That's not all that far.

We should do it then! I know the hubby would be up for it and we have
friends in Georgia that own a pig farm. They could slaughter one and bring
some ribs and some shoulder or butt.

Absolutely! Most of us were from alt.binaries.food and alt.food.barbecue,
but anyone was welcome to attend. I know for sure the next time we get
together will be New Years in Micanopy. We usually do our cook-ins 2 times
a year.

And if she's referring to the San Diego cook-in, there have already been
tons of posts about and recipes from the same

Wow, there's a blast from the past. I haven't been to Micanopy since 1979.
Will there be any of the famous Micanopy Red there? That's chili, right? ;-)

There was a reason for my smiley: Micanopy Red is NOT chili. Neither is its
cousin Gainesville Green.

Right you are, Jill - the SoCal cookin was June 10 and a lovely time
it was, although Charlie was sorely missed, esp. by the DH.

I have not seen "a ton" of posts about the 6/10 event. I have seen
several, but fewer than 10. I have seen no pictures. I have seen posts
about the updated website asking for information about prior cook-ins
and identifying people in pictures.
