What does one look for when shopping for goat in a "carniceria". What terms used? nb |

I find Giganews is even more customer unfriendly than comcast.... especially to an outsourced and not-upgraded customer. -- Ham and eggs. She did 2 baked goat heads. The skulls were displayed whole, devoid of flesh and hide, but with eyeballs still in place. The prepared meat was around the base of the skulls and perfect for tacos. It was excellent and myself and my Vietnamese cow orker were able to gorge ourselves, having no other takers. We even tried any eyeball. Chewy. I wish I knew how to prepare it, myself. ![]() nb |

I doubt the difference is significant. One of my biggest peeves is the lack of the "find parent article" or "find all children" function. I have to go back and dwnld the whole thread if I need to back-step. Also, as you said, many articles get dropped. In my case, it's usually the OP. Another hassle is the use of SSL. There seems to be a lack of ACK(?) upon posting, so slrn is left hanging after slrn receives "posting ok" and I have to Ctrl-G 4 times to clear the hang up everytime I post. nb |

Worse, Comcast treats Giga like a red-headed stepchild. They take the view that since news is subcontracted to Giga, CC isn't really providing the service, therefore they aren't really charging for the service, therefore CC is providing news for free and customers have no right to complain about it. No kidding, that's their official corporate stance. Support parrots this double-speak to customers with a straight face. Stupidest thing I ever heard. You only get one guess on Giganews' policy. (Comcast who?) OTOH, I have to admit, except for CC's broadband/cabletv extortion policy and lousy news service, they are the best my broadband service has been in the last 8 yrs. nb |

That's one thing that baffles me. I have a Mex fruit stand and carniceria just around the corner, but never see cabrito, there. Is it always cabrito? Is it ever "old goat"? LOL!.... nb |

I use MT-NewsWatcher on OS X (and OS 9 before) to read from netnews.comcast. MT-NW has an "Open All References" command that works just fine. Is that the same thing or similar? Isaac |
