Default PING:Jill - how was the trip? Kust curious.

Just wondered how it went. Did John get some kind of special "kudos"
or whatever. I admire anyone who has artistic talent, because I
seriously can't draw a straight line with a ruler. I had a good
friend (now deceased) who had the most amazing ability to do
watercolor in almost any format. He was a teacher, but had more
income from his art works than from his job. Absolutely amazing.

Fantastic trip and a good show for him. He was the featured artist this
year (one of his paintings was on the t-shirt they were selling to raise
money for MidCoast Fine Arts who put on the show). Because he was the
featured artist, he won't have to jury-in for the show next year which is
nice. He also got a merit award accompanied by a check, which is always
nice. The merit award is this metal statue:

Kinda cool since it's usually just a ribbon. They went all out on the show
and the people were out in droves.

So it was a good show and we had a good time. I wrote all the food stuff up
in an earlier post called Iowa Food/Trip Report. Thanks for asking!

I guess I missed that one. Just looked back several days and didn't
see it. Oh, well, glad you all had a great trip.
