Default Ping: Rusty - Thank you

Rusty, on July 3, you posted that you had bought a DVD recorder that you had
"made about
50 DVD's and so far not one coaster."
I want to thank you for taking the time to give me this information here on
this ng. I finally got around to purchasing it, and the quality is so much
better than the Lite-On which just wouldn't accept any manufacturer's disc
for recording any longer.

I remember the thread, Dee... will you remind us of the brand? It
deserves another plug.

Thanks for asking: here it is on Amazon at perhaps $170 and there is a
review at the bottom of this
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...202806-8532626

but I bought it at the Costco store for $179.99. It doesn't show online at
Costco.
I recorded a few foodnetwork shows and they show up really good on both of
our PC's, as well as the laptop. The first DVD-R I used worked great. I
had a load of them on hand from the Lite-on * none of them would record, but
it would still play pre-recorded DVD's. So, will keep it as a spare.

Now I need recommendation for an MP3 - I'm still looking to pay no more than
$100 for a 1GB - don't want the Apple Shuffle.
I think I'll have to wait a few months. Keeping my eyes open -- Hey, Rusty,
are you still there?
