Default dinner tonight or I love summertime

After visiting the Farmer's Market, dinner tonight was:

Local wild salmon grilled on a cedar plank.

Cauliflower, slightly steamed in the microwave then finished on the
grill. ooo. The smoke from the cedar penetrated these and they
intensified and carmelized and were proclaimed YUMMY.

Fresh white sweet corn.

Extra Dry Chandon champagne with a fresh blackberry crushed in it.

Mounds of blackberries with whipped cream.

Can't walk, sort of waddle but wow was this all good.

I just made cookies - which other than biscotti or springerle (sp?) - and I
don't 'do' cookies.

I think I'll call them Drunkin' Chip Cookies. Mighty tasty if I say so
myself.

I marinated some boneless, skinless chicken thighs in bloody Mary mix
(it's what I had and they turned out delicious!) yesterday afternoon
and we threw those on the grill after our Labor Day cheeseburgers,
hotdogs, and corn on the cob were finished.

Tonight, we had the chicken thighs along with leftover potato salad
and baked beans.

Tomorrow, I will use the rest of the chicken in a stir-fried lo-mein
chicken and veggies concoction.
