Default I've Missed Y'all!

Greetings from South Carolina. It's been awhile since I posted, and
though AOL isn't popular, I do miss their former newsgroup format, so
I'm muddling through Google groups.

Just an update. We moved here from Florida a little over a month ago.
Life has been quite busy since the move. I'm working full time for a
gourmet kitchen store...WOOOO HOOOO...the samples are killer. I have
enough great chocolate to last me ...well a long time. I love this job!
The customers couldn't be more pleasant and suffice it to say it would
be all to easy to spend every penny I make there. Awesome gadgets I am
learning that I can't live without. We have a weekly cooking class on
Tuesday nights and I get to eat the leftovers for lunch on Wednesday.
YUM!

I've also been retained by a local art gallery to design a coffee kiosk
as well as stock and staff it. Wow...when it rains it pours. And if
that's not enough...

my daughter moved here this weekend from Florida with my 17 month old
granddaughter and son in law - they bought a house via the internet and
are now happily moved in no more than five minutes from us. We just
found out that we will be greeting a second grandchild this Fall. Life
is good.

Well, let's see if this post goes through.
Huggz,
Ellen

She just moved to a new state and is settling in. She probably doesn't
have a lot of money to spare to help you buy a computer.

There's plenty of time to get a job at McDonald's to raise the money for a
computer for summer camp.

It was a very tacky move on your part to spam right in the middle of a
valid thread. If I were your mother, you'd be grounded for a long, long
time. No PlayStation, no TV, no internet, no phone. Not even a radio.

Brat!

Oh my, well it certainly seems to be Foodie Heaven. Last week we went
to Carolina BBQ. My first experience with South Carolina style BBQ.
What a scene! Verrrryyyy Rural community. All you can eat for $6.50

BBQ (which is pulled/chopped pork shoulder) with three different
sauces, mustard and pepper based. Hush Puppies, Rice and Hash (this
hash is ahem, really different - blenderized pork and other
indescernible ingredients poured liberally over good Carolina rice);
Fried Pork Skins; Mac and Cheese; Greens; Green Beans;, Yams; Cole
Slaw; Corn and Fried Okra. All swallowed down with sweet tea,
unsweetened tea or lemonade. Dessert was chocolate puddin, banana
puddin and peach cobbler.

Well, time to waddle outa here. Garage saling this morning with the
kids. (Dang, I love the sound of that)

Huggz,
Ellen

Thanks JJ. I will say that the weather has reminded me a bit of the
Pacific NW, but Spring seems to be right around the corner if the
budding Dogwoods are any indication.
