Default crockpot/soy milk question

Most crock pot instructions I've seen say not to add milk
to any recipes until the last hour. I assume that this
is because the milk might boil or curdle. But does soy
milk behave the same way? Can it be added from the beginning,
to say a cream soup in a crockpot? thanks.
