Hershey's Real Chocolate Syrup
Awww, I remember shopping at Schnuck's - back in the 80s. I revisited it a couple of years ago and while it was still a nice store...it wasn't what it used to be.
 I found a recipe for a chocolate syrup that reviews have stated having a good flavor but may need to be brought up to a boil and/or have corn starch added to thicken it: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/21...-syrup/?page=2 Chocolate Syrup 1€‰Â½ cups water 1€‰Â½ cups white sugar 1 cup cocoa powder 1 dash salt 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Combine the water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together in a saucepan over low heat; whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and begins to simmer. Remove from heat and stir the vanilla into the sauce. Serve warm or cover and refrigerate until serving. I'd also add some fat i.e., butter, and a bit more salt and vanilla. |
