Default Hershey's Real Chocolate Syrup

My local grocery store Schnucks won't let call in to see if they have a specific thing like Hershey's REAL Chocolate Syrup, so I guess I have to go see!

I bought some Schnuck's FAKE chocolate syrup and it's gross! I used it a while but got sick of it and threw it in the trash! Yuck! ::-(

Pretty good! Now as far as that Hershey's Real Chocolate Syrup?

I dunno, I can't call Schnuck's therm, so I guess I have to GO THERE again and see! A different more upscale Schnuck's And because I have a 100% electric car I will NOT burn any more gasoline to do it!

Hershey's:
Ingredients:
high fructose corn syrup; corn syrup; water; cocoa*; sugar; contains 2% or less of: potassium sorbate (preservative); salt; mono- and diglycerides*; xanthan gum; polysorbate 60; vanillin, artificial flavor.
Schnuck's:
Ingredients
High Fructose Corn Syrup, Sugar, Water, Corn Syrup, Cocoa. Contains 2% Or Less Of Each Of The Following: Mono- And Diglycerides, Artificial Flavor, Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate), Salt, Xanthan Gum, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 60.

What is more "REAL" about the Hershey's?
What is more "FAKE" about the Schnuck's?

Neither contain cocoa butter. Hey, who needs cocoa butter when you've got
mono- and diglycerides?

Berryhill (ALDI's brand):
Ingredients
high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, cocoa processed with alkali, sugar, contains 2% or less of potassium sorbate (preservative), salt, mono-and diglycerides*, xanthan gum, polysorbate 60, vanillin (artificial flavor).. *adds a trivial amount of fat.

Plus, while you're at ALDI you could get high quality ice cream.

I found two 24oz bottles of Hershey's Real Chocolate Syrup at the Ladue Schnucks!

And the FAKE Chocolate Syrup at Schnucks contains "artifical flavor"!

And my 2013 Nissan Leaf uses ZERO gasoline, needs almost NO maintenance and moves like a Slot Car so following a cop at 80mph was noÂ*PROBLEM going south on I-170! :-)

Hershey's Real Chocolate Syrup doesn't taste much like chocolate. My guess is that you'd be able to make a better tasting syrup at home. I have tasted the Fox's U-Bet syrup too and they both have a weird acidic type taste to them that throws the taste off.

You can't read:

"Hershey's:
Ingredients:
high fructose corn syrup; corn syrup; water; cocoa*; sugar; contains 2%
or less of: potassium sorbate (preservative); salt; mono- and
diglycerides*; xanthan gum; polysorbate 60; vanillin, artificial flavor."

CHECK THE LAST INGREDIENT.

I have had to taste a commercial chocolate sauce or syrup that is
particularly good. We always make out own. It is simple enough. Combine
cocoa powder and granulated sugar. Add some water. Bring it to a boil
and let it boil for a minute, remove from heat and add a little vanilla
extract. It is easy and delicious. Way better than the commercial stuff.

When a product contains high fructose corn syrup, you know that they
have taken every shortcut known to man, at the expense of quality.
Stay far away or else... Enjoy!

Maybe there's Aloha soy sauce in it?

You're right about this. I used to mix up my own when I was a kid. The bottle stuff is probably the best option for lazy folks.

If I make hot cocoa I will use the the home made stuff if we have some
on hand. Otherwise, I put some cocoa powder and sugar in a mug and stir
it together. I had a little milk to make a thick paste, add a little
more to thin it just a bit, and then add hot milk.

You use more cocoa! The more cocoa the better!! We ran out of Chocolate Cake Donut Mix at the donut shop I worked at so the owner bought me a big box of cocoa and I burned through that pretty quick, but boy did we have the best Chocolate Cake Donuts for a while! :-)

Most coffee bars here use that crap to make hot chocolate. However, there
is one that uses flakes of real Belgian chocolate to make theirs - and it's
worth the extra $.

These days I don't ever make cocoa although I'd like to try making some Mexican hot chocolate. The picture on the package of Abuelita chocolate makes me laugh. It reminds me of Johnathan Winters in drag.

Why use FAKE flavors in lieu of the REAL thing, John...remember that old saying:

"FAKE flavors are not healthy for children or other living things"...

You're deflecting as usual. You said NO ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR. No mention
of oh, some of of them are okay, like artificial Raspberry. Artificial
is artificial. Like I said, you can't work your way out of a paper bag.

Yeah, just wonderful:

"Sugar and/or Corn Syrup, Water, Cocoa, Dry Milk Powder, Xanthan Gum,
Vanillin (an Artificial Flavor), Salt, Preserved with Potassium

Elderly Couple

An elderly couple go to church one Sunday. Halfway through the service, the wife leans over and whispers in her husbands ear, "I've just let out a silent fart. What do you think I should do?" The husband replies, "Put a new battery in your hearing aid."

Old Lady

An old lady got on an elevator in a very lavish building, when a young woman gets on smelling of perfume.
The woman turns to the old woman and arrogantly says "Romance by Ralph Lauren $150.00 an ounce!"
Then another young woman gets on the elevator and also very arrogantly says "Chanel#5 $200.00 an ounce!"
About 3 floors later, the old woman has reached her destination and is about to get off the elevator, but before she leaves, she looks at both women in the eye, bends over Farts and says "Broccoli 49 cents a pound!"

School Lunch

Two Chinese exchange students arrive at the university cafeteria for lunch and ask what was available for lunch and were told there were pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs and fries. They each order a hot dog and sit down at a table to eat. After one unwraps the tin foil off his hot dog he looks at the hot dog and asks the other "So what part of the dog did you get?"

I don't know why I'm laughing this much at fart jokes I've heard before
but maybe it has something to do with having no sense of smell. I have
a temporary immunity to farts.

Schnuck's is a grocery store chain. Hershey's is a chocolate products manufacturer! Not too much in competition, and why are you so anti-Semitic?
