heh heh. The craziest thing I've seen Bear do is once when
he was in Africa and he found a fresh pile of elephant poo.
He explained that it's a good source of water in a survival
situation. Ok, true enough but he insisted on demonstrating.

Please, Bear, I believe you! You don't have to actually do
it. But he did. He picked it up and held it over his head
and squeezed the water into his mouth.

I always figured that once he came home from one of these
shows, his wife probably makes him take several showers
and brushes his teeth several times before she kisses him.

I was taught to eat everything on my plate. No big deal.
When I was young, occasionally my mom would add beets to
the plate. Just plain sliced canned beets that were heated
up in a saucepan. yuk!

I would always eat them first just to get it over with,
saving the better part of the meal for last.

Unfortunately, she saw that and wrongly assumed that
I loved them...the first thing I ate.

LOL. You were like my son when he ate when he was visiting his cousins.
My SiL was a health food Nazi. She made avocado soup and made him it
some. He puked. He likes avocados now, and it could have had a lot to do
with the fact this is aunt was and remains a horrible cook.

That is a fashion statement I could never buy into. When I was a kid you
would put a hat on backwards or cockeyed to make yourself look stupid.

I taught the adults in my family not to push me too hard.

That's that strangest part about people in North America - anybody that's different is ridiculed. That's just weird.

That's just a traditional old ppl thing to do.
The older generation ridicules the younger generation's
choice of hair styles and clothing. Kids always want
to be different than their parents.

Remember the old sitcom parody of that?
"Family Ties" with Michael J. Fox

His parents were old democrat hippies so he dressed up in suits
like a business man and had republican beliefs.

Hopefully, you're right about this - it's just old people acting up.

I'm working on eating natto. It's a stinky food that I'm actually fearful of.

May I offer you all our leftovers? We are fussy about what we like and

It has already been bought and paid for. I certainly wouldn't buy
something to eat that either one of us disliked or that there was a
good chance that we would dislike.
I can mentally run through the ingredients for a recipe and the way it
is put together and reasonably guess that we would like it or not.

There could be a problem if you don't know the chef or the recipe!

Hogan's Heros, really?! It's a rather ridiculous thing to think
prisoners of war in Germany were making pizzas.

Was there anything about Hogans Heroes that was not ridiculous?

You might want to avoid any Kentucky Fried Chicken joints too!

Germany's alliance with Italy *would* explain the availability of the Italian sausage
and Parmesan cheese

Why not? It was a sitcom. Sgt. Shultz was pretty cool.

Some folks consider sex addiction, or even mere hypersexuality, as perverse.
The way I see it, consensual sex that isn't particularly exploitative, in any
quantity, is fine, and I say that as a French vanilla heterosexual who has seldom
strayed outside committed serial pair bonds, in spite of having issues with
hypersexuality. If a person is not hurting others in pursuit of sexual delights, I'm
not going to call that person a pervert.

Anyone who is not enjoying as much consensual sex as possible is the
pervert, and the legal age of consent should be fourteen.

Well Jill, I watched the whole HH "Pizza Parlor" episode, but they made the pizza without showing how and then they showed guy having it with wine. I wonder: what kind of wine is supposed to go with Italian sausage pizza? It looked dark red.

Others say that describes a sexual pervert according to this definition:

"The definition of a pervert is a person with abnormal sexual behavior.
An example of a pervert is someone who peeks into his or her neighbor's
bathroom."

A person who does that is both not respecting consent, and risking
emotional harm to the neighbor. It would be correct to call that person
a pervert. As for norms, **** YOUR NORMS.

"**** YOUR MORALS"
-- Oksana Shachko

And while we're on that topic:

************
"Winter, you know I hate patriarchy as much as you do."
"And that's not unusual?"
"I don't think it's rare for a man to love women, and the social justice thing, so many men have that."
"Yes, but you're really militant about it. When I saw that Femen shirt, I about fell out. You know, they
wouldn't approve at all of our arrangement, but I was a free woman, and I still am. Hey, which one's
your favorite?"
"Which one what?"
"The Femen chicks, your biggest crush."
"Who said anything about crushes? I think they kick ass, and I agree with much of their ideology, though
I think they go overboard with the over-sexualization, and religion stuff, but I attribute that to them being
Soviet; Marxian Materialism and the strange relations between the Orthodox Church and state, the church
being frowned upon in Soviet times and far too cozied under the oligarchs."
"I got about half of what you said."
"That's why you should go back to school."
"So I can be a rich woman with a thorough understanding of Karl Marx?"
"Yes. And I do love the way they fight. I just admire them."
"Of course you do, but there are quite a few of them who are seriously beautiful. So who? Sasha? Maybe
Oksana?"
"I'm not even dignifying that with a denial."
"You probably think they're the two sexiest women on the planet."
"No, that would be you and Ann."
"What would you do if you got a call from me saying I'd ripped my shirt off and gotten arrested?"
"What kind of question is that? Of course, I'd post bond and get you the best lawyer. Why? Are you planning
to do that?"
"No."
"So this is like the anchovy kiss question."
"Pretty much."
************

There are those anchovies again.

If the neighbor is a good looking woman or man, depending on one's
persuation I'd say that's perfectly normal behavior... the person
being peeped on may even consider it commendable behavior.
If someone is in their bathroom with their window wide open in clear
view of the windows accross the way one could say the one being peeped
on is hoping to be peeped on. Normal people are quite aware that they
are making it easy to be peeped on. When I was 13 years old I'd visit
a school chum who lived in an apartment building. Bathrooms and
bedrooms were all one above the other. I showed him how to make a
periscope from a cardboard tube and mirrors. We painted our tube
black so it was nearly invisable at night, the apartment above was lit
up like a circus midway. We spent months peeping on the pretty lady
above. One day she moved and an old man moved in, fun was over.

You were protected by your youth because such behaviour in an adult would
be a perversion and likely to be breaking the law. It's typical of sexual
offenders to blame the victim, as you do with "Normal people are quite
aware that they are making it easy to be peeped on".

Normal people do not anticipate deviant behaviour requiring blacked out
periscopes.
