I had that for dinner. Yes, you Canadians are probably horrified but it was
good! I loosely followed a recipe. Hot, crisp baked Tater Tots topped with coarsely chopped (slightly warmed) sharp cheddar (had no curds), a mix of chicken and beef gravy with a little onion and parsley, and sliced green onion. That hit the spot on a chilly day! |

They were probably dredged in seasoned flour i.e., a dry process. |

Julie, Im French Canadian, I didnt grow up eating poutine, but I discovered it as an adult. Theres a great Canadian Restaurant in the next town called Chez Vachon that makes the best poutine the regular way, fries, delicious gravy, and covered with cheese curds. Tater Tots actually sounds good to me "cause I like them, any good gravy works, and luckily I can find curds around here. Ill give them a try.

There are lots of different types of Poutine(I haven't had it for years), but the classic is still fries, curds and gravy.
