I was driving right by there yesterday, so I stopped. Was curious
about their $1.00 tacos so I bought 2 of them. My review (keep in mind I like just about anything), is that they are tasty enough. To compare, I'll have to try a couple of Taco Bell tacos first. Been a very long time since I've gone there. Anyway, these do have a nice taste but they're not pretty or full. Don't be fooled by any burger king picture. Just a little nicely seasoned beef in the fold, some picante sauce, and just the smallest amount of lettuce that I've ever seen. The taco shell is crispy only because it's mostly empty! lol I do plan to try a taco bell one soon, just to compare. |

It's been a long time since I ate a Taco Bell taco, too. My recall of them was a miniscule amount of meat cooked in powdered seasoning mix with a whole lot of shredded iceburg lettuce on top. They look full, but they really aren't. I think Taco Bell tortillas are probably Ortega brand. LOL Jill |

It's not even a good looking crispy corn tortilla shell, IMHO. Thanks Gary for trying it out. I wouldn't have. Jill |

When I was into fast foods, I really liked the Taco Hell Chicken Soft Taco. Who knows, I might still enjoy them. Too much sodium though; health reasons. |

They make it possible for a burger joint to easily sell this Mesican item. The frozen shells are put in the fry oil and the shell is crisped and the filling is cooked at the same time.. These units cook so fast that they can be made to order. All that's needed is to add some lettuce and chopped tomato - items that are already on hand. Unfortunately, the filling has to be in a form that doesn't float away into the fry oil so it's kind of a weird pasty substance. I'm hoping that the filling can be changed to some kind of artificial meat material because it's likely that would be an improvement. The main difference is that the BK taco shell seems to have some wheat flour in it while the JitB, does not. Other than that, it's a toss-up between which fry oil you like better. |

When we lived in NY, they had tacos at Burger King for some time. They were not good as tacos go but for me, they were better than anything else BK sold. I'm not a burger lover though. Currently, only some BK's have tacos. I know they are in PA. We don't have them here. |

The menu was limited, the food was cheap, but small and not filling. It did taste good. I could be wrong but I don't think they put filler in the beef back then. I think they use oats now. |

My wife doesn't. I liked their now extinct enchiritos. Not a enchilada and not a burrito but something in-between. I like their chalupas. They're a taco filling in a thin flatbread with a dab of sour cream. Their menu is confusing to someone who eats there rarely. That'd be me. leo |

At least not at all Taco Bells. (I like them too by the way). They aren't on the menu, but are still available if you ask for them (if you ask the right person.) Lots of fast food retaurants have items that are not on the menu--you just have to know about them. -ray |

Not sure what she thought she was ordering. They should change the name of their Gorditas because those are actually a thing in Mexican food. Just not that. |

I haven't ordered anything from a fast food place in over a decade. I did comment on the television ads for BK's fake meat burger (Impossible Whopper) and offer the opinion that the best way to actually tell if it tastes like meat is to order one *plain*. I stand by that statement. But no, I'm not driving miles out of my way to try one. Jill |

Probably the most common fast food in our house is KFC. Thats about every 2-3 months. Dominos runs about 3 times a year. I don't think there is anything wrong though with getting fast food when it makes sense. Used to do it a fair amount in my last 18 months of active duty. I worked shifts that were 13-14 hours long (technically called 12hrs but turnover took a bit). At 2am, there is little open so we'd spare off a person to make a run. I think it was McDonalds that had a really good roasted chicken ceasar salad? Probably my favorite is a whopper Jr Cheeseburger. |

I don't drive far for food unless it's an ingredient I need for some dish I'm making. |

Before I'd drive miles for an ingredient I'd change my menu... and I can usually find ingredients not available at local stores at Amazon... delivered right to my door for free. It's extremely rare that I can't find any item at Amazon. |

A while back no local store carried white peppercorns. only already ground in tiny quantities. Amazon had excellent white peppercorns: https://www.amazon.com/Badia-White-P...gateway&sr=8-6 |

Actually I do believe she'd drive several miles to purchase say a bottle of soy sauce.... lots of people do as a lame excuse to get out of their house for a few hours. |
