You must be the bone because there's no way you're a scientist... any
junkyard mutt is more intelligent than you. I seriously doubt you
even prepare flakie wakies because in all these years no one here has
ever seen any food you have cooked. Graham, you are a total fraud.
Imagine, a scientist who can't use a digicam.

He'll get around to telling us how he humped Maureen while his friend
was busy doing electrical work.

Not as impressive as "deflowering" nuns in the Vatican, but still a
notch on his tallywhacker.

You are really an idiot - you know zilch about Graham, likely because
you're too busy trying to **** women, he is highly qualified and
probably - although I don't know that - a very nice **** for a woman
because he doesn't bring all the hangups to it that you evidently do!

Popeye probably don't get laid often if at all (even if he's not impotent).

He spends most of his time chasing down gays.

Interesting. Either that was not in effect in 1978, or I had crooked
employers. I never got one of those.

Ah yes, this was only part 1. That would make sense.

They can't do that to the women of the world! Their sorrow would be

Hi Leo,

A degree is more a requirement with a junior job and in specialty skill
areas, is either a total (MD, RN) or optional (programmer, Manager).
Experience still outweighs a piece of paper *unless* Junior HR folks
with less than 5 years on the job get to filter. Then, it's an issue
if they think a degree matters so much as to outway experience.

The solution is to surgically remove and save his valuable organs for
the women, then dispose of the rest in a sewage treatment plant.

I have to laugh. I have gotten some jobs expressly because with no
degree, they got actual experience and didnt have to pay as much.

Correct. I may be the edge of it but I knew no one owed me anything
except what I made of myself. I worked as many hours as i could, paid
my bills, and paid as much as I could for college. I wasn't able to
pay the last semester and went Navy.

I may not be the smartst person in the world but i knew to not get
stupid with college debt. If you use a loan to get through college, you
BETTER BE WORKING to reduce the loan amount.

Why yes, I do have an issue with old fogies that believe that their generation was the best there ever was. That's just vanity talking.

You endlessly ascribe the actions of a few to the entire cohort. Then you
wonder why so many people here dismiss your opinions as crap.

As we all know, old farts never complain about the younger generation. They never gloat about how their generation was harder working and had more guts than the young folks. Well, except for the old farts on this newsgroup.

I can't afford to care about other people's opinion about my opinions. The only thing I care about is what's the truth and what's just vanity. Caring about other people's opinion on your opinion is not the path to a righteous life. I'd sure like to lead a clean life, if you don't mind.

It seems that the current generation always tends to worry about the
next generation. Meanwhile, the younger generation rejects the older one
and vows to do things differently. I guess that is why we see so many
reversals in fashions and standards and keep bouncing back and fourth.
My parents generation were into the religious religious ethic. The US
had to deal with the not so subtle coercion of the the McCarthy era. My
generation fought against that. More of us went to university and pushed
the limits of freedom of speech, freedom of the press and freedom from
religion. Now we are seeing a huge reversal. The censorship in now done
under the auspices of political correctness.

The boomers are a great disappointment. They thought they were going to change everything that was wrong with their parents but instead were motivated by greed and became worse. OTOH, the young people's desire for conformity, political correctness, and acting as a mob, is a little frightening to this old fart.

Seems to me that ALL ages complain about the ages/ways of others on any

One of the age groups in ice hockey is "Midget". Now tiny people are
asking for it to be changed as it offends them. Well, as Stephen Fry put
it: "So ****ing what!"!

I believe the term is there because if you aren't "correct" in your
thinking, or at least in what you portray to the general public your career
in politics is pretty much out the window with some factions so politicians
usually try to be "correct" in their statements. I could be wrong.

I don't typically hear people bitching about other people in real life. It's probably because I avoid people that tends toward negativity. They are not pleasant to be around.

As we all know, old farts never complain about the younger generation. They
never gloat about how their generation was harder working and had more guts
than the young folks. Well, except for the old farts on this newsgroup.

Seems to me that ALL ages complain about the ages/ways of others on any
given day.

You don't know jack about the boomers. 99% of them just wanted
jobs, houses, and families like everybody else. It's the 1% of
them who were noisy and got themselves on the news. Those are
the ones you remember. Not people like my doctor, my dentist,
and my mechanic.

No, I don't hear the people standing next to me in person complaining, but I
see it on TV, news etc.I mostly avoid people who give their medical reports
every time you see them, I can handle the negativity better.

That's just my opinion. I prefer to rely on my own opinion rather than some random person's opinion of my opinion. This only makes sense.

The best generation were the people that fought in WW2. Most of us here are
the product of that generation.

You might be able to handle negativity to a fair degree. Me, I don't do so well. That's the breaks I guess.

I have heard this. Mostly our parents were put through the fire. I suspect that most generations would rise up when duty calls - but I could be wrong.

Yes, I can handle it better than whining or hearing "it's not fair."

All those generalisations are nonsense. Among the people who fought in
WW2, there were good ones, bad ones and mediocre ones. The same
applies to the people who fought in any other war. And it also applies
to the people who lay on the couch watching soaps.
