Lucky you! if you are in the more arid west it may be the case that the only suitable habitat for development of the fungi is around organic matter in the soil which can hold moisture for a longer time. i do also know they have a distinct difference out there too where they form in burned over areas. we don't usually have that sort of space here. songbird |
