Default Uses for surplus pecans

This is not for Julie, but if anyone else should accidentally buy way to
many pecans and you are looking for a dessert dish to use them up ....
Eggnog Pie.

My wife used to make this one for special occasions. I could not be
bothered digging out her old Gourmet magazines and typing it out, but I
found what appears to be the same recipe online.

You start with a pie shell made of ground pecans, butter and sugar.
The filling uses milk, gelatin, rum, brandy and lots of whipping cream,
and it is garnished with chocolate curls.

I like the great grains with crunchy pecans cereal, it has too much iron in it tho.

Also not for Julie, I was thinking about pecans last night. Spiced
pecans came to mind. Sure, they're usually made with pecan halves but
no reason chopped pecans couldn't get the same treatment. They make a
nice snack and they could also be tossed in a salad.

Then there's Pecan Soup (also not for Julie).
