Default Cracking walnuts and hazelnuts

I use locking pliers to crack nuts.

Just set the jaws a bit smaller than the nut shell and you will crack
the nut without damaging the kernel.
I was given several pounds of walnuts and it took me about 20 minutes to
shell them and I ended up with a nice pile of walnut halves.
