Cracking walnuts and hazelnuts
I use locking pliers to crack nuts.

I was given several pounds of walnuts and it took me about 20 minutes to shell them and I ended up with a nice pile of walnut halves. |

What do you recommend for macadamia nuts? Many years ago a friend went to Hawaii and brought back some a big bag of macadamia nuts in the shell. I never did find a way to crack those things to get whole meats. |
