LOL If I'm watching a channel with commercials, when they come on I just pick up my book and read. (I *always* have a book on the table.) I can completely tune out what is on television when I'm reading. Yet I can tell by the sound when the show has resumed. I put down the book, watch the program. There were three women, one black, one latina and the other asian, and they were pretty much yelling and interrupting each other, giving skanky clothing suggestions to show off your booty. Luckily, I had my laptop and was using their wifi. I guess I have to believe they air crap like that because it was on TV, but I can't imagine anyone watching it. Frankly, the commercials were a welcome relief from the idiocy of the show. |

When I first retired my mother used to call me and ask if I had thought of Oprah or Dr. Phil or some of the other shows she liked. I would tell her I had not seen them, that I don't watch those shows. Then she would ask what I did watch, and I would tell her I did not watch day time TV. Even if I wasn't busy doing other things I still would not watch daytime TV. It is a wasteland. The odd time that I have it on to watch the news and then channel surf a little while I end up turning it off. The programming is horrible. It's a good thing it turned me off daytime TV so I never got into daytime Netflix. I confess that a few years ago, we had a bitterly cold winter and we binge watched TV series on DVD that we borrowed at the library. We watched entire seasons of 24 at the rate of a season ever two days...... 12 hours a day on one show... and then turned around and started a new one. |
