Yep, that's one thing out of town guests couldn't understand when taking them to SF and telling them to bring a jacket or sweater, because it might be hot as heck here but when we get to SF it can be quite a different story in a fairly short distance, actually cold. It was an overnight layover on our way to Bangkok. We (my parents, my brothers and I) walked down the street from the hotel to a restaurant for dinner. There was a chill wind blowing. We ate at a Chinese restaurant (sorry, I was nine years old, didn't pay attention to the name of the restaurant or even what I ate). We were seated at a table near the door. It was a busy place and every time the door opened we got a blast of cold air coming in from the outside. I *do* remember wishing I had a sweater! This would have been in August... so still Summer on this continent. Jill |
