My model of top loading washing machine is 16 years old now. I bought it new and still have it. A couple of years ago the pump failed (probably due to freezing up with ice). Fortunately it was a very common model and I've had no trouble finding either very cheap working machines or freebies that have been thrown out. So I have two complete working machines and all the spare parts I need for the foreseeable future. It is a simple, mechanical non-digital machine and they just won't die. Does a perfectly good job of washing too, gentle cycle is excellent. |
