I am now a member. Yes, it is a ways away from me. But they were offering
a special this month for military. I got a $15 gift card for signing up.
My mom came with us and she got a couple of things. I only got a few things
as we didn't need much and only about half of what I got was food. A lot of
what they sell is the same as Costco and my mom said they have the same
store layout as Costco used to. Don't know about that.

I did see food items that I will get in the future but I was leery to get
much that might need to go in the fridge or freezer in case we did lose
power. I did get some more batteries. And a big package of made up
sandwiches to put in one of the little fridges. I already instructed the
other two that if we do lose power, they can eat from that fridge but not to
open the big one for any reason.

I expect that most of my shopping from them will be online, unless someone I
know wants to go there because it is a ways out. Funny that I should say
that now as I used to work right next door and made that drive every day.
But then I was living closer then.

How was it failure? My mom got two things that she needed. Angela got a
new pair of pants that she needed. I got a few other things that I needed.
And now I can shop online there. One Christmas, they had several things
that I wanted to order online but unlike Costco, you have to be a member to
do that. And my mom really enjoyed the outing. She always goes to the same
places. Today she got a big pretzel *and* nacho cheese. She was happy.

YOU are a failure. Because of your failure as a parent, your daughter can't
fit in reasonably sized pants. We've all seen the pictures of your child
neglect, the roll of fat hanging over her waistline--a little girl that even
Kuthe probably didn't find attractive.

Leave Julie's daughter out of your discussion. She's a kid and should be off limit. No need to be cruel to a child.

Looks like it will work for you for the occasional bigger trip and a
Mom outing.

I'm sticking with BJ's but one of these days I will at least go in the
local SAMS Club to see it. In my case, SAMS is actually closer to my
house but both are within 4 miles of me.

Same here. BJ' is closest, Sam's add 10 miles, Costco adds 40 miles.
All are similar so I don't see any reason to change or add.

Yeah, the SAMS opened later (used to be a big box hardware store) but I
had BJ's since 1995. The local SAMS opened about 2009 or so.

Bryan does not care anout any "limits" except the ones he creates for himself. Part of the symptoms of his Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Similar but Sam's carried some brands that Costco does not. And they are
close to where my friend lives so now I have an excuse to visit her more
often!

Not only that but she needed smaller pants. He obviously hasn't been into
the store and looked at the women's clothing or their sizing. Otherwise he
wouldn't have made such a comment.

He has no clue what size your daughter is, nor do any of us and if
she's a little generous sized, that is her business. At about age
12-13 there was a picture. A little over optimal but hardly obese from
what I recall.

Ypur family may eat a bit crazy by my standards, but they aren;t
overtly unhealthy, over fatty or over sweet stuff from what you post.

I may rail a bit on the multiple cooking for each person as it's unfair
on you, but the overall diet isnt terrible in a nutritional stance.

Crazy? Hardly. But I would also say that we would likely not eat most of
what you do. And we do eat healthy food.

Again... It is *not* unfair on me. It is something I *want* to do. And I
would never go on about something being unfair. I can remember being told
when I was little that life's not fair. And it's not. So...

Your woman abuse is as grotesque, unprovoked, and ugly as anything
anyone in this medium has ever done.

You are a pathological woman-hater and a deeply disturbed and wounded
little man:

-sw

"Incredible. And you STILL don't shut up."

I thought you were here just to talk about cooking? You've only said
that at least 25 times, yet 95% of the flack you get is about
off-topic subjects.

Way to go, Julie! You beat her down into speechlessness.

Ok, no problem!

I do note we eat a much wider variety of basic foods but probably not
to wildly if it were brought down to how many recipe cards were pulled
out of a box.

Lunch today would probably not freak you out even if you subbed a few
items you liked better. It was a steamer pot of 8 veggie types with
some shrimp and later a bit of butter added with a modicum of spicing.
Added a few shrimps and called it good for us.

Wouldn't freak me out but I wouldn't eat it either. I don't like steamed
foods for the most part. I have eaten steamed Hum Bow three times and I
liked it. They recently served it where my mom lives and she went on and on
about how horrible it was. She didn't know what it was. She described it.
I took several people to the International district in Seattle way back when
for Dim Sum and I ordered that and shared it with them. None of them liked
it at all. Husband used to get it baked from the International district in
Oakland when we lived in CA. I tried a bite of that and didn't care for it.

Anyway... Guess what they had at Sam's Club? Yep. Big ass box of steamed
Hum Bow but they used a different name for it. I think they just called it
steamed dumplings or something. I showed it to my mom and she made a face
like she was gagging. Heh.

I am not cooking today. I don't feel well. Dr. upped my thyroid med dose
and I think I am just adjusting to it or something. Feels like one person
is trying to pull my thumbs off while another is banging on the area where
they connect to my hand with a hammer. At least that's how I imagine that
sort of action would feel. Also have a very stiff neck and my knees have
been bothering me. And freezing!

Safeway had some kind of pie looking thing with Italian meats and cheese in
a crust. I had two pieces of that in the fridge along with some kind of
pork that I cooked yesterday. Not sure what it was. Not chops but big thin
pieces. Also two kinds of rice. I told Angela to make him a plate out of
those things and also some kind of vegetable of which we have many. I'll
probably have bean tacos because we need to eat the rest of the pico de
gallo before it goes bad. Not sure what Angela will have.

I am putting off the bean soup until Thu. Hopefully I will feel better by
then. Until then we can make do with the two small steaks that I have,
stuff from cans or raw veggies. Maybe some form of potato.
