Dangerous stuff!! I made the mistake of sniffing the fragrance of the opened bag (as one normally does with a new spice) and I ended up sneezing about 20 or 30 times!! Put just the tiniest dab on some mayo I had already put a lot of cayenne on, and I felt the fury of the habaneros slightly but little flavor with it!

I may have made a mistake buying this! Oh well, I'll have hotness of peppers until I die! ;-)

Yep, I don't know about Texas Pete's Hot Sauce, but I DO know that everyone has their own limits to the "heat" they prefer and can tolerate well. My first experience with these crushed habaneros was a little too much for me. I ate an entire fresh (grown here, neighbor;s garden) pickled habanero once, and as I like to say it was not so much the incredibly hot fiery burning of my mouth, lips and tongue as it was the stabbing hot pain in my stomach!! And you don't even wanna hear about my bathroom experience the next day! ;-)
