Dangerous stuff!! I made the mistake of sniffing the fragrance of the opened bag (as one normally does with a new spice) and I ended up sneezing about 20 or 30 times!! Put just the tiniest dab on some mayo I had already put a lot of cayenne on, and I felt the fury of the habaneros slightly but little flavor with it!
I may have made a mistake buying this! Oh well, I'll have hotness of peppers until I die! ;-) John Kuthe... |

The hotter version of Texas Pete hot sauce is too hot for me, it's much hatter than Tabasco.

Yep, I don't know about Texas Pete's Hot Sauce, but I DO know that everyone has their own limits to the "heat" they prefer and can tolerate well. My first experience with these crushed habaneros was a little too much for me. I ate an entire fresh (grown here, neighbor;s garden) pickled habanero once, and as I like to say it was not so much the incredibly hot fiery burning of my mouth, lips and tongue as it was the stabbing hot pain in my stomach!! And you don't even wanna hear about my bathroom experience the next day! ;-) John Kuthe... |

I guess people who have that experience don't digest their food very well and why is it only men that it seems to happen to? -- sf |

You are trying to emotionally retaliate against a perceived threat to your fragile inner ego, your Narcissistic Nersonalitry Disorder is trying so desperately to hang onto you by!! Seek therapy dude! You need it terribly!! I was thinking/feeling of you fondly from way back in our days, last evening while my Internet access was down and I listened to all the Mott The Hoople I have in MP3 format on my hard drive! Remember my playing "Death May Be Your Santa Claus" in my 1969 VW as we were driving around Maplewood? I do! Because I was singing out the window "I don't care what the people may say! I don't give up anyway!" Ah, those were our days, eh? John Kuthe... |
