FYI, according to replacements.com (yes, I realize it's an overpriced web site) one of my Franciscan Desert Rose plates costs $25.99. I've got eight of them. The so-called flat cup (which looks like a tea cup but my parents drank coffee out of them, the way people used to back in the day with a saucer under the cup) cost $12.99 each. That's just for the cup, sans saucer. The Coupe (heh) soup/cereal bowl, $13.99 each. I have the 10 inch oval divided vegetable bowl. They want $39.99 for that sucker! The 9" round vegetable bowl, $53.99. I have a couple of platters, one 13" and the other 14". $39 - $49 respectively. I have the sugar bowl with lid and creamer. No tea pot. But the creamer sells for $25.99 and the sugar bowl for $19.99. I think at some point my mom even had the little rosebud shaped salt & pepper shakers and the matching covered butter dish. Those things likely got broken during one of our many moves along with the tea pot. All in all, I'd say if I wanted to buy the dishes I have today it would cost about $800 and that's without the S&P shakers and the butter dish. Forget about the tureen. LOL It isn't everyone's cup of tea (so to speak) but it was an extremely popular pattern circa 1951. And yes, I know I could buy individual pieces from eBay for a lot less. Good thing I don't have to. ![]() If you're interested in replacing pieces of vintage dinnerware, keep an eye on small changes from production year to production year. Things change ever so slightly. They might not be an exact match. Jill |

I have my Ebay set up to notify me when my various pattern pieces (Spode china, Heisey
elegant Depression crystal, and Wallace stainless) show up. I have purchased crystal from Replacements, but only when it is marked down. They are way high on my Spode. N. |

The Replacements site is good for getting a gauge on what some people are willing to pay for each piece. Jill |
