Apparently the kind of prep you need depends on the reason for the
colonoscopy. Mine was routine. My friend's was for medical reasons.

That's not true. It depends solely on doctor/clinic preference. Some
pre-existing medical conditions may warrant using one prep over
another(kidney or heart issues, etc.), but the reason for the colonoscopy
is irrelevant to the type of prep the doctor orders for you.

Well, seeing as how my friend and I both go to the same medical clinic, I
kinda don't think that is true. I know I had specifics to me because I am
diabetic.

Yes, because you were diabetic. Not because yours was routine and your
friend's wasn't.

Some people with slowed digestions need more time for the prep. I was
worried as I do have a slowed digestion. I have heard of people who went
through it all only to be turned down because they weren't cleaned out
enough.
