Jill - It's OK, as I said I grew up eating/cooking cornmeal/polenta so I realised it wasn't right. However, I did like Austin very much so all was not lost. The Brits favouritest place? Joe's Generic Bar. When the US mob all had to go and we Brits were left to our own devices we found Joe's and used like we would a pub back home, a bit of a dive but a great place to chill out over a couple of beers and some live music.
