Default New use for my sturdy bread slicer

I wanted to chop onions, couldn't locate my usual 6 inch chef's, so grabbed the bread slicer. WOW - I worked faster with that straight blade than using the rocking technique of the curved blade. I held it with right hand on the handle and left fingers holding the end of the blade.

That bread slicer, btw, was inexpensive - a Henckels Eversharp slicer with serrated edge. Have had it for years and still like new.
