I can picture a parody of that sort of thing, but I can't remember what
show it was.

"A little bit for the cooking, a big gulp for me" or words like that, and
soon the cook is quite drunk, always taking a lot more than he put into
the cooking.

Any number of Graham Kerr's short slurp moments come to mind.

Well, even Julia Child was not above taking a nip, and there may have
been a Lucy show or two where that happened, so it's more of a classic
than a particular individual and not much in need of parody.

But he wasn't the parody, he was perhaps the one being parodied.

Maybe it was SCTV?

Mmmm. Brandy. Two weeks from today, I'm going to start stopping drinking
swill beer. With the money I save, I will devote some to more brandies
and liqueurs.

Delicious sipped or with seltzer.

Also this:

Adding Chambord makes truly excellent whipped cream.
