Default Freezer finally dead. I think.

I will let it defrost and then see. I looked in the instructions and it
said the ideal ambient temp would be between 55 and 100. It reached a high
of 83 today so that's not the problem. But I may have killed it this
winter. Not sure if it is worth trying to repair since it only cost $130.
The freezer alarm went off again. This happened twice recently but I was
able to reset it. This time though, although the power was clearly on,
nothing was running. Last I checked it was at 47.

Tried to reach my nephew but he didn't answer my call. He works in this
city and perhaps could have taken some food home with him but not sure if he
would eat what we have. SIL said their freezer was full. Took me two hours
to reach mom. She said to put the food in her fridge as it was empty but I
have a tire problem that I discovered as I was headed over there. Tired
place is closed so had to give up that notion. Had to waste about $6 worth
of food. Just couldn't eat it all or fit it in the fridge or freezer.
There still could be some waste if what is put in the fridge doesn't get
eaten but was able to get most stuff crammed in the fridge in here.

Meanwhile, fixed a big dinner. Cooked up all of the chicken and vegetables.
Two kinds of fries. Two pizzas which hopefully husband will eat instead of
sandwiches. And baked a loaf of bread. Not that I wanted the oven running
in this heat but... I guess it's all good. Was going to buy a loaf of
bread but didn't want to stop just for that. We'd been to Winco for
cheapish fruit and a few canned things and they don't sell the bread that we
eat.

So... I guess I will have to make do with the inside fridge. It would be
fine for Angela and me but when husband is here, prefer to have the extra
one. Thankfully he has gone off of eating ice cream but now he is eating
frozen fruit bars. I actually ate two today and I never did but I got so
overheated. They did taste good! And I guess it was a good idea that I ate
them because my blood sugar was down much lower than usual before dinner.
Had I not had them, I might have had a hypo.
