Last weekend (Sat & Sun) I tried an experiment on myself.
Scenario: What if my doctor told me I had diabetes but for now I could maybe control it with diet and exercise. So I went the two days trying to cut the carbs out of every thing that I ate. ARRGHHHH! What a culinary nightmare those 2 days were for me. Every time I got the urge to eat something, I realized that it was a high carb meal so I cut out most of "the good stuff." I cut out way many carbs but I suspect I would have to do even better if I actually had a health issue. For now, I plan to cut down on the carbs but if I'm ever told to cut them out almost completely, I think I'll go visit Dr.Kevorkian maybe. arrghhh Bottom line with me: eating very low carb is very hard to do and be satisfied. My hat is off to those of you that have to do this every day. oh man G. |
