So, I thought I had tasted lobster finally but turns out I ate
langostinos at the restaurant. I went to the grocery store to buy lobster tails on sale for $10. My coworker's ad was for her store, not mine. While looking at pricey frozen lobster tails, I noticed a bag next to them that said Langostinos and in smaller print "Gourmet Lobster." 10oz no shells $9.99. Great price compared to those frozen lobster tails... The meat looked just like lobster, and it was clean, and thawed it didnt smell fishy. It was identical to what the restaurant had served me. I grilled and seasoned the first batch, and bought a bottle of Mccormick Scampi Sauce and fried the second batch. Very satisfying for the price. Googled them and they are like miniature lobster with tiny claws-you really can only eat the tail meat. Package said they come from the waters of Chili. Look for them sometime in your local grocery store's frozen seafood section. |
