I don't care for it so much when it's hot, as just have maybe a slice of breast with gravy on it, as the most important part of a turkey dinner for me is the mashed spuds & gravy, dressing (especially!) and cranberry sauce. Love heating up leftovers the next day too. I often slice the turkey and put it in the gravy to warm up, and have it over the mashed potatoes (sometimes will have to make a fresh batch of them, as usually are the first thing to go when having a turkey dinner!) and warm up the dressing in the microwave, but I can even eat it cold.....yumm-O! Love turkey sandwiches though, and never get tired of them...will even eat them for breakfast! I've made several casseroles and salad with leftover turkey, and as soon as the carcass starts looking a little pathetic, it goes in the soup pot for turkey noodle (or rice) soup! It's worth buying a turkey just for the end results! <:-) Judy |
