Default Slicing Onions

For hamburgers- I cut top and bottom and peel- then slice into rounds.

For salads- I take off top and bottom and cut in 1/2 from top to
bottom. Remove skin. Then I slice making 1/2 rounds.

For peppers and onions- after topping. half-ing, and peeling, I place
on board with the bottom on the board and cut into slivers.

If I'm chopping- after topping, halfing, and peeing, I slice into 1/2
rounds, holding the 1/2 together. Then cut crosswise for the dice.
[easier to do than explain]

If it's a Vidalia I just peel and eat-- no cutting necessary.<g> [I
haven't done that in years, but it used to be a 2-3 times a year
thing]
