Default Good Silvar, Bad Silvar

For lunch yesterday, Bad Silvar had a grilled cheese sandwich made
with white bread, Velveeta, and mayo, outside smeared with margarine.
Plus canned Campbell's Tomato Soup (with milk). With some Nabisco
saltines crumbled on top. And a pickle. And a PBRB to wash it down.
Just like when I was a kid (well, other than the beer :-) )

For brunch this morning, Good Silvar made Smoked Nova Scotia Salmon
Eggs Benedict with freshly made Sauce Hollandaise on homemade whole-
wheat English muffins, and fresh strawberries, orange sections and
cantaloupe slices on the side. With champagne. For no particular
reason at all, although impressing Mrs. Beitel was a nice side
benefit :-)

Posted for whatever small entertainment value you might find in it.

Sounds absolutely delicious! Mrs. Beitel is a lucky woman.

That is truly nasty. My family featured a few really crappy things
too. I stay as far away from them as possible. At least the PBR is
not a bad beer choice because even though it's pretty crappy, it's
also pretty cheap. That idiot Andy pays more for beer that's even
crappier (Bud Light).

With an apparently robust appetite!

I can barely nibble my way around a boiled egg and slice of toast in the
mornings.

But that does sound like a nice lunch

I remember one grey, rainy early morning i confronted a traditional
English country house breakfast buffet, in the Cotswold iirc, lake
district? i was barely able to grab a cup of coffee before i fled from
the abundance of food in mounting nausea

I usually can't eat in the morning myself. I need to up for a couple
hours before I can eat. Only once or twice a year do I wake up
hungry. We often spend weekends with some friends who are big
breakfast people. In the morning they're cooking before the coffee is
even ready. They both work at the same hospital and start at 7AM.
They cook breakfast at home every day. I'm not talking pastry or
toast, they cook, clean up and get to work by 7 AM. I admire the
discipline and there's no way I could do it. I'm lucky to be able to
make coffee!
