I and many others gave up on the Times of London and the Irish Times
because they began to charge. I wonder if the papers noticed any
difference? Mind you, I can understand the desperation of the newspapers
that feel the Internet has lost them circulation but I'm not
understanding enough to want to pay them.

You know who is busting their balls, don't you? Craig Newmark, the
founder of craigslist. Single handedly, craigslist has brought the
newspapers to their knees. I love it!

The NYTimes is going to start an internet subscription quite soon.
It will still be free but only up to about 20 articles a month. IF
you read more than that on line they are going to want you to
subscribe for unlimited access.'

I wonder if bob objects to the newspapers editorial policy or that it
requires registering a functioning e mail address?

I thoroughly enjoy getting a copy of the NY Times in my in box every
day, for free!
