Default campari tomatoes

i finally saw the campari tomatoes at my grocery in maryland on friday.
(maybe i'd been repressing seeing them before because they were pretty
damned expensive, four bucks for eight smallish tomatoes.)

so i took some home and had a plateful, sliced fairly thickly, with a dab
of mayonnaise, and salt and pepper - my favorite way to eat a good tomato -
and i have to say they were very, very tasty. the remainder look even
better today (sunday), i think a little redder.

so, y'all say they might be this good right along through the winter? that
would be nice.

your pal,
blake

That's been my experience. Certainly head and shoulders above the
others I can get here. Not cheap, for sure.

not so ruinous that they couldn't be an occasional splurge.

Yep. They're not cheap.

I saw this and laughed. Louise loves tomato and mayo sandwiches. No
S&P, it's gotta me Hellmanns, and it's gotta be trashy bread.

Don't let that color fool you! Gobble those suckers up before the
neighbors find out you have them.

The only ones worth buying in the winter.
