Default campari tomatoes

i finally saw the campari tomatoes at my grocery in maryland on friday.
(maybe i'd been repressing seeing them before because they were pretty
damned expensive, four bucks for eight smallish tomatoes.)

so i took some home and had a plateful, sliced fairly thickly, with a dab
of mayonnaise, and salt and pepper - my favorite way to eat a good tomato -
and i have to say they were very, very tasty. the remainder look even
better today (sunday), i think a little redder.

so, y'all say they might be this good right along through the winter? that
would be nice.

your pal,
blake
